The gNappy is a unique new hybrid nappy design that gives you the choice of using cloth inserts or 100% compostable disposable inserts, so you can be earth-friendly even when you are too busy to wash!

What Makes gNappy Special?
Unlike any other cloth/hybrid nappy out there, the gNappy has a super-soft and colourful outer cover, the gPant, that is made of beautifully stretchy cotton (no lamination!) and available in lots of gorgeous bright colours.
Unlike most cloth nappies that generally laminate the whole outer cover, the waterproofing for the gPant is provided by a unique waterproof, breathable and removable gPouch that snaps in to the outer gPant. This makes the whole cover feel softer, more flexible, and more breathable.
It also makes it more economical, as you can snap out the gPouch, and snap in a fresh one, re-using the gPant as long as it is unsoiled.
The gPouch is made from proprietary gBreatheTM technical fabric, that is extremely breathable, but highly waterproof. The gPouch has a lovely soft trim around it, that creates a gentle seal around your baby's legs to hold on to those blow-outs!
You can choose either a cloth insert (gCloth) or a compostable and biodegradable disposable insert (gRefill) - to go inside the pouch (available separately)

gCloth Inserts
gCloth inserts are very trim, but absorbent and made to fit the gPouches exactly.
Each gCloth insert is made from two layers of soft 100% polyester microfleece on top, to wick moisture away from baby's bottom and keeping them dry and comfortable, and two layers of hemp/cotton underneath to absorb wetness and hold moisture in.
The white microfleece side goes against baby's bottom, the brown hemp/cotton side goes down.
gRefills: Disposable Inserts
gRefills are genuinely amazing - they are 100% compostable!
We have even tested this at home in our own compost heap, and they disappear completely in about 45 days! Obviously you don't compost the poopy ones, but if they are just wet, they can go on the heap! Otherwise, you can dispose of these inserts just like a disposable nappy
gNappies is Cradle to Cradle certified (mbdc.com), which means that everything that goes into making a flushable refill is reabsorbed by the planet in a neutral or helpful way - very cool!

At Changing Time
* Insert the biodegradable gRefill or gCloth insert by pressing it into a tiny gPant or the little gPant pouch.
* Close tabs in the back, away from little hands.
* Always keep gPants preloaded with gRefills or gCloth for fast, easy nappy changes.
* After your baby is dry, happy and settled, you can deal with the used gNappy! Remove the insert.
* If you're using a biodegradable gRefill, you can can compost or toss.
* If you're using gCloth, put the solid waste in the toilet and add the insert to your nappy bucket.
* Preload another gPant for next nappy change.
Washing
* The little gPant pouch will get poopy, so having a few on hand is always helpful. The gPouches are also sold separately in packages of six.
* If the pouches are poopy you can rinse out and add to your laundry. If they're clean they can be re-used as needed.
* Little gPants can be machine-washed and tumble-dried on low or warm (never hot)
* If the little gPants get wet or dirty, chances are the fit is not right. You can learn more about getting the right fit by watching the videos under the Videos tab.
* Close velcro tabs, wash and tumble-dry gPants with your regular laundry or with separately, as needed. Little gPant gPouches should be machine washed on cold or warm (never hot) and air dried. Avoid excessive handwashing, as it can be rough on the delicate elastic trim.
Prewashing your gCloth inserts
When you first receive your gCloth inserts (available separately from this gPant item) you’ll need to prep them before first use.
Hemp is an amazing material. The more it is washed, the more absorbent it becomes. It has natural oil on the fibers that needs to be stripped away so that it can open up to optimum thirstiness.
Before the first use you’ll need to wash your gCloth on hot 6 times without detergent, and machine dry in between each wash.
They will shrink a bit. Actual shrinkage will vary based on laundering practices. The gCloths are designed to shrink to the correct size after the initial 6 prep washes. If you care for your gNappies in another way you may see different results in performance and size.
